Stay in MA has partnered with leading Massachusetts-based technology and business organizations and select MA-based conferences to allow students to attend events through their scholarship program. Below is a list of current partner organizations. Students are welcome to apply for a scholarship to attend any partner organization event.

ACG Boston
The Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) is an individual- and company-based organization focused on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and corporate growth. ACG Boston members include corporate executives, private equity and venture capital investors, investment bankers, and service professionals. The mission of ACG Boston is to foster a networking community that enhances our members’ effectiveness by providing events and access to information on dealflow and the capital markets. ACG Boston offers more than 40 programs, including major annual conferences as well as a series of smaller seminars, roundtables, and regularly scheduled monthly meetings.  The Ad Club

The Ad Club is the trade organization for the marketing, advertising and communications industry in New England. Founded in 1904, the club serves as a community connector and educator. Events such as the Hatch Awards, Women’s Leadership Forum, CMO series, and the EDGE Conference provide invaluable networking and educational opportunities for New England professionals. The AlwaysOn Network
The AlwaysOn Network is transforming the media business by providing its readers with an open and participatory editorial environment. Borrowing from the underground blogging and social networking traditions, AO was launched in 2003 and has emerged as a leader in the "open media" revolution. The network's content focuses on the sweet spots in the technology markets where innovation is disrupting behavior and creating new business opportunities.  We will have a limited number of student tickets available to the AlwaysOn Going Green East and AlwaysOn Venture Summit East events this year.  To view events, click here.

 

The Environmental Business Council of NE
The Environmental Business Council of NE, a nonprofit organization, was conceived in 1990 by environmental and energy company executives who began meeting on a regular basis to exchange ideas and share experiences. The EBC was the first organization in the United States established to support and foster the development of the environmental industry. Our goal is to enhance business and job growth of both established and emerging environmental and energy businesses. The EBC provides access to a broad range of environmental topics through a series of monthly meetings, conferences and events. We also have a strong Young Environmental Professional committee that encourages career advancement and networking among professionals who are new to the Environmental community in New England.  Click here for events.

 

Future Forward Events

For nearly a decade, Future Forward, has been bringing together New England’s top entrepreneurs, investors, CIOs, and technology executives for an invite-only, day-long conversation about new technologies and how they can be deployed profitably in the real world. 

 


Mass High Tech
Mass High Tech : The Journal of New England Technology is a weekly publication covering business news of the New England high tech industry. Mass High Tech readers learn about companies and trends that affect our region before they appear in mainstream business publications and the daily newspapers. Mass Innovation Nights
Mass Innovation Nights: Join Mass Innovation Nights the second Wednesday of every month. This free product launch party and major networking event uses the power of social media to help promote Massachusetts-based innovators, connect job seekers with jobs and inspire all of us with a cross section of products and industries.  The monthly event is held at the Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation, 154 Moody Street in Waltham, MA, the site of the first American factory.  The museum's exhibits and the historical innovations represented are another source of inspiration for entrepreneurs.  Price of admission:  help out.  See something cool, blog about it, tweet it, Stumble it, Tumble it, Facebook it, or just tell someone.  Click here to RSVP today or nominate your new product.

MIT Sloan BioInnovations Conference

Interested in a career in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, diagnostics, or other healthcare arenas? Want to be on the forefront of the next wave of innovation in life science technology, policy, and commercialization? Mass MEDIC
The Massachusetts Medical Device Industry Council (MassMEDIC) was formed in 1996 by industry executives to promote the unique interests of the Bay State’s growing and vibrant medical device sector. Massachusetts is home to the second largest concentration of medical device development and manufacturing in the nation, with 49,000 jobs manufacturing and related jobs and exports accounting for 10 percent of the state’s annual overseas shipments. Now with nearly 400 members, MassMEDIC sponsors a variety of informational seminars and conferences, providing a meeting place for medical device manufacturers, service suppliers and medical researchers to exchange ideas and information on industry trends and best practices. Mass Technology Leadership Council
Formed by the powerful combination of Mass Software Council and New England Business and Technology Association, Inc., the organization is dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship and promoting the success of companies that develop and deploy technology across industry sectors. The Mass Technology Leadership Council accomplishes its mission by conducting educational programs and hosting signature events, facilitating networking between industry executives and potential partners, investors, and customers, sponsoring research on the industry, engaging in activities to enhance the quality and quantity of the next generation of technology professionals, advocating in favor of technology policies that promote innovation and entrepreneurship, and recognizing industry-leading companies and people. Massachusetts Network Communications Council
The Massachusetts Network Communications Council is the region’s number one industry association for fast-growing wireless, video and network infrastructure companies - "the digital communications ecoystem". Whether it’s connecting with friends and peers, searching for information, doing business, watching video, playing games or participating in civic and political events, these companies are changing the way people communicate. Massachusetts Small Business Development Center
The Massachusetts Small Business Development Center (MSBDC) Network is a free statewide business assistance program representing a three-way partnership between the federal government (SBA), state government (Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development) and the academic sector (University of Massachusetts) all working together to support business and entrepreneurship throughout the Commonwealth. Established in 1980, this program pools the resources of government, academia, and the private sector in providing entrepreneurs and business owners with free business advisory services, educational programs, and financing assistance. MSBDC services are offered through six network centers (Boston, Fall River, Worcester, Salem, Springfield, and Pittsfield) and nearly 50 outreach sites (primarily local Chambers of Commerce).   MIT Enterprise Forum

The MIT Enterprise Forum of Cambridge is a volunteer, non-profit organization based at MIT, which serves the broader entrepreneurial community. The Cambridge Chapter is the largest of the 23 worldwide chapters of the MIT Enterprise Forum, Inc. The Forum's mission is to promote and strengthen the process of starting and growing innovative and technology-oriented companies by providing services and programs that educate, inform, and support the entrepreneurial community.  To view upcoming events, click here.

 
MITX
The Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange (MITX) is the leading association in the country for the internet business & marketing industry. MITX creates opportunities for businesses and individuals to connect, grow and thrive. With 250 plus member companies representing over 7,000 digital professionals in New England, MITX is the community for thought leadership, building business relationships and professional training and development. MITX has established a special scholarship match program for their events. If more than 1 student applies to attend an event, they will match the cost for the 2nd student. New England Clean Energy Council
The New England Clean Energy Council’s (NECEC) mission is to accelerate New England’s clean energy economy to global leadership by building an active community of stakeholders and a world-class cluster of clean energy companies. The Council represents a diverse set of stakeholders, including clean energy companies, venture investors, major financial institutions, local universities and colleges, industry associations, area utilities, labor and large commercial end-users, and works with these stakeholders to develop and execute a wide array of programs in five key focus areas: Innovation, Growth, Education and Training, Adoption, & Policy. NoSQL Live

NoSQL Live from Boston is a full-day interactive conference that brings together the thinking in this space. Picking up where other NoSQL events have left off, NoSQL Live goes beyond understanding the basics of these databases to how they are used in production systems. It features panel discussions on use cases, lightning talks, networking session, and a NoSQL Lab where attendees can get a practical view of programming with NoSQL databases.  Click here for more information.

 

The Princeton Entrepreneurs' Network

The Princeton Entrepreneurs’ Network of Boston (PEN) has been an active part of Boston's entrepreneurial community since 1999. We organize business contests, speaker events and networking events to help our constituents learn, grow, and further expand their contact bases.    Propel Careers

Propel Careers, a Boston-based company established in June 2009, uses a personal touch to connect graduate students with summer or calendar-year internships in local life sciences and clean tech companies. Propel also offers graduate students access to a prime Mentor network of over 40 seasoned executives, so that they may tap into additional guidance for personal and professional development. The connections that Propel makes allows local businesses to benefit from evaluation of talent, completion of projects, and fresh perspectives; while students gain work experience, career guidance, and direct application of their educational skills applied in on-the-job settings.  Propel Careers also organizes valuable networking events that bring students and companies together while enhancing student awareness of career options and providing MA-based businesses an opportunity to engage with local students.  Science Club for Girls
Science Club for Girls has been providing quality science enrichment programs for girls in kindergarten through 12th grades since 1994. We seek to nurture girls’ natural curiosity in the natural and built worlds by engaging them in hands-on explorations in science and engineering at the youngest age possible. We invite college, graduate and professional women-scientists to be mentors and role models, affirming college and women-in-science as norms.  On May 26th, the Science Club for Girls will be hosting its annual Catalyst Award program, http://scienceclubforgirls.org/catalyst/2009/, honoring, Dr. Evelynn Hammonds, the newly appointed Dean of Harvard College, and Dr. Larisa Schelkin is the founder and president of DOME (Diversity and Outreach in Mathematics and Engineering) Foundation, and Chair of the National Multicultural Committee for the Society of Women Engineers.  Stay in MA scholarships are available for this event.

Search Engine Marketing New England
SEMNE stands for "Search Engine Marketing New England" and was formed as a way for anyone interested in marketing their websites through search engines — from business owners to agency and client-side marketing professionals to web developers — to get together in-person on a regular basis. SEMNE Meetings feature speakers on topics such as online public relations, blogging, pay-per-click best practices, search engine optimization and more. SEMNE's mission is to enable people to exchange information and ideas, learn new search marketing tips and techniques, while networking with like-minded individuals. Click here for current events.

StartUpHire
StartUpHire is the job board created exclusively for venture capital  backed companies, listing jobs at thousands of fast growing companies throughout the country.  This free resource was created by investors  and entrepreneurs who know that finding the right people quickly and

TechAmerica is the leading voice for the U.S. technology industry, which is the driving force behind productivity growth and jobs creation in the United States and the foundation of the global innovation economy. Representing approximately 1,500 member companies of all sizes from the public and commercial sectors of the economy, it is the technology industry’s largest advocacy organization and is dedicated to helping members’ top and bottom lines. TiE-Boston
TiE-Boston is part of the global TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) group that is the largest not-for profit organization promoting entrepreneurship. TiE-Boston was formed in 1997 with the mission to “Foster, encourage and support entrepreneurship in the New England region” through programs on education, mentoring and networking. TiE is the world's largest networking organization for Innovators from various fields, including Business, Academia, Government, Administration, and Non-Profits. Dedicated to the virtuous cycle of wealth creation and giving back to the community TiE focuses on generating and nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs.
